What Is Psilocybin Treatment?
At Vital Reset, we’ve seen something special happen: many people who try psilocybin treatment start to feel more like themselves again. As research grows, and as we see more real-life stories, it’s clear that even a single psilocybin journey can help the brain change and heal.
Most people who come to us are dealing with hard things: depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD. Others want help with addiction, unwanted thoughts, or brain changes from aging or injury. These problems all have one thing in common—they affect the brain. And psilocybin seems to help the brain reset.
A Personal Note
Just to be clear: I work at a legal psilocybin center in Oregon. You might think that makes me biased. But the truth is, before this job, I didn’t know much about using psilocybin for healing. I was curious. And now, I get to see people grow and heal almost every day.
When I talk to new clients, I hear all kinds of stories. Some have never tried any drug. Others have done psychedelics before. Most have tried therapy, medicine, or both. But many feel those things didn’t really help. That’s because regular medicine often treats the symptoms, not the root cause.
Psilocybin treatment goes deeper. It asks, “What’s really going on inside?”
Why This Feels Different
Regular therapy can help. But it takes time to trust a therapist. And some people give up too soon. I often hear, “I tried therapy, but it didn’t work.”
If someone starts therapy already unsure or doubtful, it’s harder to get good results. Psilocybin treatment is different. In a session, you are the one doing the work. You face your own thoughts and feelings. And you are the one who knows yourself best.
The facilitator is there to support you, not to tell you what to do. We help you get ready, stay with you during the session, and talk afterward to help you understand what happened. During the session, there isn’t much talking. It’s your time to look inward.
Is It Legal?
Yes—but only in the right setting. In Oregon, psilocybin treatment must happen at a licensed center with a trained guide. Doing it outside that setup is not legal.
Inside the legal system, though, we create a safe space. A space where you can feel calm and supported.
Who Is It For?
Most people who call us already think this might help them. Maybe they read Michael Pollan’s book or saw his documentary. Maybe a friend told them it worked. Or maybe they’re just tired of feeling stuck.
Our job isn’t to push you. We just want to give you clear, honest info so you can decide.
Some people can’t do this treatment. If you have certain mental health conditions, a mushroom allergy, or take high doses of some medications, you might not be a fit. But if you’re 21 or older and pass a short screening, you don’t need a doctor’s note or diagnosis to get started.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, or something else, you’re not broken. You’re human. And sometimes we all need help remembering who we are.
Psilocybin treatment isn’t magic. But it can help you see yourself in a new way. And from there, healing can begin.
You deserve that chance.
We’re here when you’re ready.
